I can't start to explain how messed up the education system here is. The different programs that they have just make the elite of the lot get smarter. They have all the opportunities. Every good program, lesson, lecture, class, teacher, facilities, learning aids, everything like that. They have all the chances to excel. They are given just about everything. Skip the O levels, go straight to A levels. This allows you to sail through secondary school and junior college.

So, this is what happens to the smart people.

Wait. How about those that don't quite make the cut? Well, just because they don't have certain grades, certain papers, they are not allowed to continue studying simply because 'they can't handle the next level of education' What in the world is this? A silly piece of paper doesn't mean everything. Just because i am not a math genius, doesn't meant that i cannot do things like accounting, like statistics and math related modules. Just because i am not able to pen my thoughts on paper well, it doesn't mean that i don't have the ideas. So, where does experience come in? People may not have qualifications but they may have experience. One with experience may actually do much better than one who may have the pass in that particular grade. You can't measure experience the way grades are measured. But you can't leave out those without the grade. That isn't giving them a fair chance at learning. I suppose you will never know until you take the chance and allow them to prove themselves. No one should be judged without being given a fair chance to show their ability.

The smart people will just get smarter while those who are not doing so well are more or less doomed. Doomed to join the work force with the meager qualifications that they have, or pay extravagantly to go to a private institution to complete their education.

So, talk about the income gap. Ever considered the education gap?
If this goes on, i feel that i can just say that the education gap might widen as well and it may become a phenomenon like the income gap.

Can anything be done about it?
